What Are the Steps Taken to Delete an Artifact in Frontline?

Deleting an Artifiact: Step-By-Step Directions to Remove an Artifact From Frontline

There are several different places where you can upload an artifact.
  • You can directly upload artifacts to various forms, including the Documentation Log, Professional Goal Setting Plan, Professional Goal Setting Review, Rapid Cycle Feedback, Survey Growth, and Survey Analysis.
  • To upload artifacts directly to the Artifact Files, an evaluatee can access their My Info section on the left Navigation Bar, click on My Evaluations, and then select Artifacts. Conversely, an evaluator can navigate to Process View, locate the evaluatee, and click on the "stack of papers" icon situated to the far right (Refer to the screenshot below), followed by selecting Artifact Files.

Artifacts need to be deleted from the location where the artifacts were originally uploaded. To see where artifacts have been uploaded, simply go to the Artifact Files and hover over the magnifying glass next to each listed artifact. This will show you the location from which the artifact was uploaded.

Documentation Log:  The evaluatee locates the Artifacts section at the top of the form.

To delete, simply click on the red circle located on the left side.

If an evaluatee uploads an artifact to the Survey Growth, Survey Analysis, Professional Goal Setting Plan, or Professional Goal Setting Review, they can delete the artifact before submitting it to the evaluator. However, once the artifact is submitted, the evaluator must open the form for the evaluatee by clicking "edit" at the bottom. The evaluatee can then delete the artifact and resubmit the form. It's important to note that artifacts can only be deleted from forms within the current year. If a form is archived at the end of a cycle, the artifact becomes locked and cannot be deleted.

Artifact Files:  The evaluatee can find the artifact and delete it by clicking on the red circle. It's important to note that all uploaded artifacts will be visible in the Artifact File, but only those originally uploaded to the Artifact Files will have a red circle for deletion.

Evaluators have the ability to upload artifacts to an evaluatee's form or Artifact Files. However, it is important to note that evaluatees do not have permission to delete artifacts that have been uploaded by evaluators.
